Rusty and badly damaged Never, ever underestimate the ability of drivers to run into things. Bolt-down stands. Someone has started to undo the bolts! Coming out of the ground Domino effect! Badly bumped, despite being painted white. Neglected and overgrown.

Stands on grass. And on a slope. And too close to the bollards. Recycling bins placed too close to cycle stands Stands too close together. A row of high quality stands, but too close to the adjacent car parking bay. Nice stands, but they are too close to the wall.

Slots in the ground. Useless! Wheel-benders. Note how the cyclist has chosen to lock his/her bike. Rusty, squashed up, vulnerable to being clouted by passing vehicles... what a welcome! Serpentine rack. Conventional Sheffield stands are better. Bizarre wooden wheel grips. State of the art in 1950. Not fit for purpose in the 21st century.
